For over 25 years Graves County Child Advocacy Program (GCCAP) has worked to protect children and educate the community on issues of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation.  All children deserve to be safe, and treated with respect and dignity. All children have a right to a loving home where they can learn and grow. This isn’t just important; it is a fundamental obligation of our society to protect the rights and needs of our children during the most vulnerable time in their lives.

Today, Graves County Child Advocacy Program fulfills its mission through two main programs:  Graves County CASA, a volunteer driven program in which we are always seeking volunteers, provides court advocacy to child abuse victims of Graves County and Building Healthy Relationships; a sexual assault prevention program delivered in partnership with Mayfield & Graves County Schools. The agency encourages awareness and provides information and referral services for the community.

Graves County Child Advocacy Program is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board is a working group that engages in fundraising and public speaking on behalf of the agency.  Board members are responsible for determining policy and procedure as well as overseeing and monitoring overall operational performance.  The agency's board meets for one hour the 3rd Tuesday of each month at noon.   If interested in serving on the Board of Directors please contact the agency's executive director at (270) 251-2060 or

Graves  County Child Advocacy Program operates solely on grants, donations, and contributions both individual and corporate.  In addition, the agency engages in a variety of fundraising events each year to support its programs.

The agency is a recipient of Kentucky's Child Victims' Trust Fund, Victims' of Crime Act funds, and Kentucky State Funds.  Additional support comes from the Wheeler Foundation, City of Mayfield, Graves County Fiscal Court, Fund Raisers, and Contributions.  The agency is a BBB Accredited Charity and a member of the Mayfield-Graves County Chamber of Commerce.  Program affiliations:  Kentucky CASA Network and the National CASA Association.
